Torpedo Boy in Warrior Mode (2021) was made in response to a more direct self-portrait, Our Present Reeks of Our Past (2021) where the artist is depicted as calm and peaceful. This work exudes the darker, divergent side to the artist, through his alter ego Torpedo Boy. The American Football helmet is the character’s armour for battle, which he has made from the bones of his aggressors, the Vegans.
